Almost all companies survive in crisis conditions with digitization. The World Bank and Bappenas survey in 2020 shows that most companies are making digitization efforts (internet, social media, digital platforms) to survive the pandemic.
The government has determined 10 smart metropolitan cities spread throughout Indonesia: (1) Mebidangro (Medan, Binjai, Deli Serdang, dan Karo); (2) Patungagung (Palembang, Betung, Indralaya, Kayuagung); (3) Jabodetabek (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang, Bekasi); (4) Bandung; (5) Semarang; (6) Surabaya; (7) Sarbagita (Denpasar, Badung, Gianyar, Tabanan); (8) Mamminasta (Makassar, Maros, Sungguminasa, Takalar); (9) Manado; (10) Banjarbakula (Banjarmasin, Banjarbaru, Banjar, Barito Kuala).
“In the 4.0 era, police services need to take advantage of big data and the internet of things through digitizing services. The aim is to: provide easy access for the community, increase the speed of response, increase the average time to complete services, provide a platform for public complaints about services, increase service accountability, increase public satisfaction with services,” said the Minister”
Transformation towards PRECISION POLRI, implemented in 4 (four) areas: Organizational Transformation, Operational Transformation, Public Service Transformation, and Supervision Transformation.
One of the digitization of precision police services is Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE). ETLE aims as an effort towards road safety because it can record Traffic Attitude Record (TAR). Improve order to reduce the potential for accident fatalities, Build a culture that supports the safety of all people in traffic, “the Minister continued.
ETLE aims as an anti-corruption effort because it supports the prosecution and settlement of traffic violations online and in real time where all transactions will be recorded and have a digital footprint.
“ETLE aims to reform the bureaucracy that demands new performance standards with the presence of Information Technology,” said the Minister. ( red )
