Minister Suharso Inspect PPN Tual
BN – Minister of National Development Planning Suharso Monoarfa and Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Wahyu Sakti Trenggono inspecting Nusantara Fisheries Port Tual, Friday (18/06/2021).
In addition to reviewing PPN Tual , Minister Suharso is also scheduled to visit Adranan and Bair Island.
PPN Tual is located in Tual City, Maluku Province. Tual City is an expansion area of Southeast Maluku Regency which borders on the West Banda Sea and East Nerong Strait, at WPPNRI 714 Banda Sea and WPPNRI 718 Arafura Sea which is famous for its fishery potential, the types of fish are pelagic and demersal fish.
Based on information obtained, ship visits at PPN Tual tend to increase from 2016 to 2020, fish landings at PPN Tual reached the highest point in 2018, based on data from crew members, it can be seen that there is a shift in ship size in PPN Tual from initially dominated by ships <30 GT , since 2018 began to be dominated by ships measuring >30 GT.
The main facilities at PPN Tual are 1 area of the port, 1 unit of pier, 17 units of pier fender, 1 area of port pool, 2 units of retaining wall, and 1 area of fence around the area.
Meanwhile, the functional facilities at PPN Tual include 1 unit of fish auction, 1 unit of water source, 2 units of cold storage, 4 units of SPBN and fuel tanks, 1 unit of net repair, 1 unit of electric power, workshop 1 unit.
PPN Tual is one of the feeder fishing ports in Maluku Province, and is one of 26 important feeder fishing ports.
As one of the potential feeder fishing ports, PPN Tual is included in the fishing port which will be developed through the “Integrated of Fishing Ports and International Fish Markets Phase II” project which is a new project proposed by the KKP to be included in the 2020 Revised DRPLN-JM/Blue Book. -2024 to be funded by Spain.

In 2022 fiscal year, Tual PPN will be funded through pure rupiah for the operation and provision of port services, as well as porterman training and infrastructure provision in order to increase PNBP collection. ( red )
